Plugin licence

The CloWebs WordPress plugin is proprietary software. It is licensed, not sold. The same text comes with the plugin as LICENSE.txt.

1. Licence

You may install and use the plugin on WordPress sites you own or manage, to use the CloWebs service with your account, for as long as that account is in good standing. Your plan sets how many sites you can connect and what you can import.

2. What you may not do

You may not, and may not let others:

• copy the plugin, except to install it on your sites and to keep backups;
• sell, rent, share, sublicense, publish or otherwise distribute the plugin or any part of it;
• change, translate or make works based on the plugin;
• decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it, or try to find its source or how it talks to the service, except where the law allows this despite this clause;
• remove or change any copyright notice or licence information;
• get around, disable or interfere with the plugin’s licence checks, sign-in, request signing or any other protection of the plugin or the service;
• use the plugin or what you learn from it to build a product or service that competes with CloWebs.

3. The service

The plugin works with the CloWebs service and is useless without it. Your use of the service is governed by our Terms of Service, which also apply to the plugin. If the plugin and the Terms disagree, the Terms win.

4. Other software

WordPress, Elementor and other plugins or themes on your site are separate software with their own licences. This licence does not cover them.

5. Updates

Updates, when offered, are covered by this licence unless they come with another one.

6. Ending the licence

This licence ends when your account is closed or suspended, or if you break this licence. When it ends you must stop using the plugin and delete it. Pages you already imported are yours to keep; they do not need the plugin.

7. No warranty

The plugin is provided “as is”, without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from the plugin. Any liability is limited to what you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
