Terms of Service

Last updated 25 October 2026 · CloWebs

These terms apply when you use CloWebs: this website, the dashboard, the WordPress plugin and the conversion service (together, “the service”). Please read section 4 carefully. It explains your responsibility for the pages you import.

1. Who we are and when these terms apply

The service is provided by CloWebs (“we”, “us”), a company registered in the United Kingdom. Our address is United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].

By creating an account, connecting a site or buying credits, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for a business, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that business, and “you” includes it.

These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Copyright and takedown policy.

2. What the service does

  • CloWebs rebuilds a web page built with Elementor (the “reference page”) as an editable Elementor page on a WordPress site that you control.
  • When you start an import, our service loads the reference pages you chose (as SiteScrapper, on behalf of your site, which the request names; following each site’s robots.txt; a site that refuses it can’t be imported), converts them, and tells the plugin on your site how to build each page. The plugin then creates the pages on your site.
  • We keep the copies only until they are imported and for the time set out in our Privacy Policy. We don’t host or publish reference pages, and we don’t publish anything on your site. You decide what to keep, change and publish.
  • The plugin is licensed under our Plugin licence.
  • Conversion is automated. The result can differ from the reference page, some parts may come in as HTML, and some pages can’t be converted at all. We don’t promise that a particular page will convert or look identical.

3. Your account

  • You need an account to use the service. You sign up with an email address you control, using a one-time code or link.
  • Keep access to that email address secure. Anyone who can read it can sign in to your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, and the details you give us must be accurate.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and on the sites you connect to it.

4. Your responsibility for reference material

You may only import a page if you have the right to use its material. For example: it is your own site, it is a site you are building for a client who owns it, or its owner gave you permission. Text, images, logos, designs and code on a web page can be protected by copyright, trademarks and other rights.

We don’t check whether you have these rights. You are responsible for that, for changing the imported content and images before you publish, and for any claim that comes from your use of imported material.

Before every import, the plugin asks you to confirm this statement (version 2026-10-24):

I confirm that I have the right to use the material on this reference page, that I will modify the imported content and images before publishing, and that I am solely responsible for any copyright or other claims related to this import.

We record each confirmation with your account, the connected site, the reference URL, the date and time, your IP address and browser details, and the version of the statement. We may use these records to answer complaints from rights holders and to establish or defend legal claims.

A design-only import replaces texts and images with placeholders, but the layout and styles still come from the reference page. The same rules apply to it.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • impersonate a person, brand or organisation, or build pages that could make people believe they are on someone else’s site;
  • run phishing, fraud or scams, or build any page that collects people’s details under false pretences;
  • get around logins, paywalls, password protection, rate limits, bot protection or other technical measures on a reference site;
  • ignore a reference site’s robots.txt rules or terms of use where they forbid automated access or copying;
  • infringe anyone’s copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights;
  • put unreasonable load on a reference site, or import from a site after its owner asked you or us to stop;
  • break the law, spread malware, or create unlawful, harmful or deceptive content;
  • share, sell or publish license keys, or try to get more free credits than allowed, for example with extra accounts;
  • use our API other than through the plugin, or attack, overload or probe the service without our written permission.

6. Plans, credits and licenses

  • Free page. The first time a site is connected, the account gets 1 free page credit. It is given once per website and once per account.
  • Packs. A paid pack creates a license key with the number of credits shown when you buy it. A license works on one website at a time. You can move it to a different website once every 30 days.
  • Top-ups. A top-up adds credits to a license you already have.
  • Using credits. One credit is used for each Elementor page, template, header or footer that the plugin downloads. Posts, products and menus imported with full-site import don’t use credits. Credits are reserved when an import starts and released if a conversion fails, or if you stop the import before the page is converted.
  • Expiry. Paid credits expire 12 months after the date you bought them. A license is valid for 12 months from purchase, extended by later top-ups. Expired credits are lost and are not refunded.
  • No cash value. Credits can’t be exchanged for money, except as described in the Refund Policy, and can’t be moved to another account.
  • Pro features. Templates, headers and footers, and full-site import are available on a site while a valid license is active on it.
  • We may change plans, prices and features for future purchases. This doesn’t affect credits you have already bought.

7. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Every purchase is a one-off payment, not a subscription. Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t receive or store your full card number.
  • Your license and credits are issued once the payment is confirmed.

8. Your right to cancel, and refunds

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. That right ends once we start supplying the digital content with your agreement. Credits from a purchase start being supplied when you use one of them in an import. By starting that import, you ask us to begin and you accept that you lose the right to cancel that purchase.

Our Refund Policy gives you 14 days to get a refund for a pack you haven’t used. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, for example if the service is faulty.

9. Your content

  • You keep whatever rights you have in the material you import and in the pages you build with it.
  • You allow us to store and process the content we copy from the reference pages you choose, and the converted results, only to provide and protect the service, give support and handle complaints. We keep this data for a limited time, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
  • We don’t claim ownership of imported pages and don’t use them to promote the service.

10. Our software and brand

  • The WordPress plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. You may use, change and share the plugin under that licence.
  • The website, dashboard, conversion service and our name and logo belong to us. The plugin’s licence doesn’t give you a right to use the service without an account, or to use our name or logo.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Complaints from rights holders

We handle reports under our Copyright and takedown policy. After a report, we may block a website from being used as a reference, suspend a license or account, and share information where the law requires it.

12. Suspension and closing accounts

  • We may suspend or close your account, or revoke a license, if you break these terms (especially sections 4 and 5), if we receive a well-founded complaint about your imports, if we reasonably suspect fraud, payment abuse or attempts to get extra free credits, or if the law requires it.
  • Where it is reasonable, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond first. In serious cases we may act straight away.
  • If we close your account because you broke these terms, unused credits are not refunded. If we close it for any other reason, we refund the unused paid credits that haven’t expired, in proportion to what you paid for them.
  • You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account. Pages you already imported stay on your site.

13. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the service available, but it may sometimes be down, for example for maintenance. WordPress, Elementor, themes and plugins change often. We adapt to them, but we can’t promise that the service works with every version or setup. Back up your site before you import.

We may change or remove features. If we close the whole service, we give at least 30 days’ notice and refund unused paid credits that haven’t expired.

14. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
  • If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. If digital content we supplied damages a device or digital content that belongs to you, and this happened because we didn’t use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
  • If you use the service for business: as far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not responsible for the content of reference sites, for how you use imported material, for claims from rights holders about your imports, or for problems caused by WordPress, Elementor, your theme, your host or other plugins.

15. Claims against us caused by your imports (business customers)

If you use the service for business, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from a claim by someone else that your imports, or your use of imported material, infringed their rights or broke the law, or that you broke section 5. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in handling it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before it applies. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop using the service before it applies, and the Refund Policy still applies to your purchases.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protection that the law of your country gives you and that can’t be excluded.

18. General

  • If part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You can’t transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer them to a company that takes over the service, and we will tell you if we do.
  • These terms and the policies linked above are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
