Full-site import
With Pro: templates, header and footer, posts, products and menus from a reference site.
Full-site import is part of Pro. It has two parts: the Elementor designs, which use credits, and the site’s content, which doesn’t.
Header, footer and templates
On Import pages, tick Import the site header and footer as Elementor templates. The option appears when the reference site uses Elementor Pro theme builder parts. Each header, footer or template costs 1 credit.
They are saved as Elementor templates on your site. To show a header or footer across your site, assign it with Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder.
Posts, products and menus
- Open the Full site screen of the plugin.
- Enter the Address of the reference site and choose Scan site.
- Choose what to bring over, then choose Import content.
The plugin reads the reference site’s public REST API. It can import:
- Posts.
- Pages that are not built with Elementor.
- WooCommerce products.
- Categories and tags.
- Menus.
- Featured images and images inside the content.
Content costs no credits. Images are copied to your media library. Items you imported before are skipped, so you can run the import again safely.
Good to know
- The reference site must be a WordPress site with a public REST API. If the API is turned off, the scan can’t read the content.
- To import products, activate WooCommerce on your site first.
- Menus are created under Appearance → Menus, with “(imported)” in the name. Assign them to a menu location of your theme.
- Pages built with Elementor belong on Import pages, not here.
Theme and plugins of the reference site
The Full site screen also lists the theme and plugins the reference site appears to use. Free ones from WordPress.org can be installed from there after you confirm. Premium or custom ones you need to get and install yourself.
